Arista Data Center Fundamentals Sprint
Core data center concepts and configuration covered in weeks not months.
This sprint course delivers the essential data center networking knowledge that Arista engineers need most — compressed into a focused, efficient learning experience designed to fit within a one-month All Access Pass window without sacrificing genuine depth or practical applicability. The course is structured as a progressive build — each module adds a layer of capability on top of the previous one, so by the end you have a complete, working understanding of how a modern Arista data center fabric is architected, configured, and operated rather than a disconnected collection of individual feature knowledge. The course opens with leaf-spine topology fundamentals, establishing why this architecture has become the industry standard for scalable data center fabrics and how traffic flows across it. From there you will move into MLAG configuration — the active-active redundancy technology that eliminates spanning tree blocked ports and provides sub-second failover for servers and downstream switches. The VXLAN section introduces overlay networking concepts and walks through the configuration of a basic VXLAN fabric, showing you how traffic is encapsulated and forwarded between virtual tunnel endpoints.
